The mission of Link Generations is to connect students with older adults and give everyone a chance to talk to each other and learn about each other’s different perspectives. Social isolation is a health risk problem for older adults (and for everyone!), especially during this time. This series of conversations focuses on “Music Through the Ages.” During these sessions, you will be talking to older adults and getting to know them better! You are welcome to join as many of the sessions as you can, as long as you are willing to turn on your camera and speak clearly. Older adults often have trouble hearing, so seeing each other is important to facilitate communication. Hope to see you there!

ALD is continuing the Career Conversation series to help take more of our members from first-year to career. As you know, ALD Career Conversations are based around academic majors and feature conversations about the path to a career in that field. This series highlights a different academic major weekly, culminating in a conversation with an ALD alum in that field.
This semester will highlight careers in: Communications, Economics, Education, Hospitality & Tourism, Physical Therapy, and Social Work. And we are thrilled to be highlighting alum that work at top-level companies like Amazon, YouTube, and Amadeus Hospitality!
Recordings for the majors highlighted in Fall 2020 are available on the site as well: Business Administration & Management, Computer Information Systems/Supply Chain Management, Environmental Studies, Finance, Law, Mechanical Engineering, Nursing, Political Science, Public Health, Speech Language Pathology, and Veterinary Sciences.
Conversations run weekly starting February 1. To view the schedule, as well as alumni bios, and to register, visit www.nationalald.org/career.
