ALD Career Conversations

ALD is offering a new series to help take our members from first-year to career. ALD Career Conversations are based around academic majors and feature conversations about the path to a career in that field. This series highlights a different academic major weekly, culminating in a conversation with an ALD alum in that field.Majors highlighted in Fall 2020 include: Business Administration & Management, Computer Information Systems/Supply Chain Management, Environmental Studies, Finance, Law, Mechanical Engineering, Nursing, Political Science, Public Health, Speech Language Pathology, and Veterinary Sciences.Conversations run weekly starting October 1. The Help Center is the university’s only peer counseling and crisis-intervention hotline (we’re actually celebrating our 50th anniversary this year)! We provide free and confidential peer counseling — no issue is too big or too small. We also provide free pregnancy tests! We’re affiliated with the Counseling Center (rendering us an official university organization) but are entirely student-run.

ALD Leads Certified

ALD Leads Certified is an online leadership and career development series offering 12 courses that cover essential competencies for the 21st century. Participating will help you set yourself apart and jumpstart your journey for career preparedness and success. Successfully complete 10 out of 12 self-paced courses and receive a nationally-recognized ALD Leads Certified / Leads365 Certificate of Completion. Average individual course length is approximately 45 minutes.
