Matthew Swetz is a sophomore studying mechanical engineering with a minor in technology entrepreneurship. While he excels in the classroom academically, he takes great pride in his extracurricular involvement. As the president of his fraternity Lambda Chi Alpha, an active member of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Honors Program, and an intern at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, Matthew feels that he is developing great leadership and teamwork capabilities.
In the spring, he looks forward to getting started as a business analyst for Consult Your Community, a Student Ambassador for the A. James Clark School of Engineering, and as a member of the Hinman CEO’s entrepreneurship program. Matthew is from Woodbine, Maryland and will be using his Stemler Scholarship to study international business and entrepreneurship this winter in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Hong Kong.
